 "Why Toastmasters?"

Why Toastmasters you ask?

"If I was to say one thing about Toastmasters it would be this. Toastmasters changes lives."

We hear this all the time. In fact, though most people see Toastmasters as a place to learn public speaking, they soon learn that Toastmasters is much more. Toastmasters is an experience and the more people allow themselves to experience all that Toastmasters has to offer they become better people.

It all happens in small groups of approximately 20 members all over the world in business board rooms, community meeting rooms, church basements, school lunchrooms and libraries. Toastmaster clubs provide a supportive learning environment where learning to speak is only a small part of a professionally designed self paced educational program that helps people build their communication and leadership skills. Through participation and interaction with other club members self confidence increases leading to an increase in natural leadership and personal power.

It's up to you. Please join us at one of our club meetings and see first hand how easy it is to have fun and learn at the same time.

District 42 represents Toastmasters of Alberta and Saskatchewan in Western Canada. With over 240 Toastmasters Clubs supporting 15 to 30 members each D42 is one of the largest Districts in Toastmasters.

Our clubs meet at various times and locations and offer an educational experience that will meet almost everyone's need. We have clubs that meet for breakfast, lunch, and supper, and we have clubs that meet with no interest in food. We have clubs that cater to the needs of business and we have clubs that are community focused. We have special interest clubs that meet at schools, universities and colleges, and clubs that cater to special interest groups such as seniors and individuals who are new to Canada. However, the majority of our clubs are open to anyone with the interest of improving their public speaking skills.

Our fees will vary depending on the club and its location, however, the average is $150 to $200 annually.

If you wish to lose your fear of public speaking and learn communication and leadership skills that help you be more successful in whatever path in life you have chosen, Contact Us or visit a club near you.
