Lorene’s Story – A Toastmaster’s Testimonial

submitted by Joseph Helwig

“I joined toastmasters after retiring from a very demanding job in the department of social services for the government of Alberta. The objective was to stay relevant and sharp in a changing world. I found it to be most interesting and beneficial and felt my experience would be a boon to anyone beginning a career.

I had three grown grandsons who all had university degrees and were working in Calgary at that time. I encourage them to join a toastmasters club. One of them decided to do so, and belonged for three years before moving to Lethbridge for work.

Since making that move he decided to join Sunny South Speakers which is the club I belong to.”
