District 42 Conference In Regina
May 3-5, 2024
Dig out your party hats and dancing shoes as we prepare to celebrate Toastmasters’ 100th anniversary at the District 42 conference in Regina on May 3-5, 2024.
Whether you’re a seasoned Toastmaster or just starting on your journey, this conference promises to be an exciting celebration of achievements, learning and camaraderie.
Theme
“As we are talking about what we want to achieve with the conference, three overall themes kept coming up. We want to Celebrate, not only Toastmaster’s 100th anniversary but also the milestones and personal growth achieved by our members, our clubs and the district as a whole,” says Leanne Woodhouse, conference chair. “We also want to Elevate our members, by helping to reinvigorate and re-energize their Toastmasters journey. And finally, Lead. The Toastmasters tag line is Where Leaders are Made. Leadership is not always about having a title or taking on an executive role with a club. It’s about leading in your family and community, leading by your actions and leading by example. It’s those skills that are fostered through Toastmasters.”
What To Expect At the Conference
The team is already hard at work finalizing the location and putting together an exciting lineup of speakers and educators who will share their insights and experiences. There will be old friends to connect with, new friends to meet and inspiring leaders to learn from. A highlight of the conference will be the District International and Speech Evaluation contests. The conference will be offering a hybrid experience. Attendees can join in person or participate from the comfort of their home or office through the online platform. No matter where you are, you can be part of the celebration.
Volunteers Are Needed
The success of the District 42 Toastmasters Conference hinges on the dedicated efforts of volunteers like you. The team is actively seeking individuals to fill essential chair roles, including finance, sponsorship, contest chair and chief judge, to ensure the smooth operation of the event. This is a chance to showcase your leadership skills and contribute to the success of this historic celebration (and complete a Pathways project!). Additionally, the team is gathering a list of volunteers to join various committees and assist with on-site conference events. Your involvement is pivotal in creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees. Whether you’re a seasoned Toastmaster or new to the community, your enthusiasm is valued and welcome.
