“Secrets of Preparing for Table Topics and Evaluation Contests”
Monday, September 30, 2019
Brentwood Co-op – 4122 Brentwood Road NW, Calgary

Confidence comes from feeling prepared. Experience the power of Circle of Gold in this creative interactive workshop where you will learn the secrets of how to prepare for your Club and Area fall contests.

Explore your strengths:
▪ Tips from past champions
▪ Feedback from a seasoned Circle of Gold Core team
▪ Receive feedback and practice ideas

Share the excitement as the speakers try out the ideas they learn and then hear feedback from a seasoned feedback team. Participate in discussions. Take home ideas to make your own table topics and evaluations a gift of gold for the audience.

Your Workshop Leaders:

Darlene Davies DTM, District 42 Circle of Gold Resource Leader, International Speech World Semi-finalist 2012, has led Circles of Gold for many years and has seen that Circle of Gold peer mentoring helps participants become stronger speakers and evaluators.

Val Erikson DTM, District 42 International Speech Contest Winner 2019 has learned many valuable lessons from competing and experiencing the benefits of Circle of Gold as a contestant and in giving feedback to other speakers.

Nandini Venkatesan DTM, District 42 Table Topics and Evaluation Winner, has conducted many Table Topic workshops, and believes effective feedback from a team can help you become a stronger speaker.
