Division E Leadership Training (August 13)

Leadership Training – the club’s opportunity to ensure their club officers are trained – Summer Session.

Division E is proud to present an opportunity of learning and development as the new Toastmasters year gets under way. Attend this event to get information, training, tools, tips, tricks, and strategies to have a successful year. Don’t just “Survive” at your club, but rather overcome “Challenges” and set yourself up for success as you reap the “Rewards” of your achievements and avoid “Elimination”. Band together with your fellow members and Club Officers to strengthen your “Tribe” and gain “Immunity” along your chosen Path. Knowledge is power, so set yourself and your club up for success by attending this event. Don’t “Outwit, Outplay, Outlast”, but rather “Speak Loud, Stand Proud, Lead The Crowd”.

PRE-REGISTRATION for this event will be available through Eventbrite until August 9th; after this date, online registration will no longer be available, but anyone wishing to attend is most welcome to register onsite, at a price of $5.

Instructions:

This event is being held in a secure building and attendees will be escorted from the lobby to the 7th Floor by members of NHO Toastmasters. The main doors will lock at 6pm, so please make sure that you arrive before this time. After 6pm, please call Jackie Harbidge (403-650-2719) or Saya Sanyal (403-889-9945) to gain entry into the building.

Refreshments will be available, so please pre-register, so that the organizers can plan for food and drinks, accordingly. This is a green event and there will be no cups provided for drinks. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own reusable water bottles and beverage containers, to reduce waste. As an incentive to participate, show your reusable container and be entered for a chance to win a Toastmasters branded Document Briefcase. Any plates, napkins, and cutlery provided by Division E will be reusable or compostable.

In keeping with the green initiative, presenters will asked to provide an electronic version of any handouts, which will be emailed out to all attendees after the event, along with certificates for Club Officers who attend their role-specific training session, and an event feedback form. Only signs, programs, attendance sheets for Club Officer training sessions, and registration information will be printed by Division E.

Parking Information:

There are three Impark parking lots close to the building, and street parking is also available. NOVA Chemicals Corporation is one block east of the Downtown West / Kerby Station, and about two blocks west of the 8th Street SW Station, should attendees wish to take transit.
