“All Rise!” Judges Training is now in session (October 5)
October 5 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Due to high demand (and standing room only at the 1st workshop), we are running this workshop again, just in time for contest season!
Running a quality contest is not only a must, but it’s an art-form. Join District Chief Judge (and self-professed contest junkie) Lynette Theriault for an interactive workshop designed to help you be the best judge/contest official that you can be and ensure that District 42 contests RISE above the rest with Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence!
In this interactive workshop, you will discover the fine art of judging a contest (it’s significantly different than evaluating a speaker), as well as learn not only how to be a Chief Judge, but why you would want to!
Contests can be scary and stressful times, but they are also a ton of fun and an amazing learning and growth opportunity for everyone from the contestants to the Contest Chair. Anyone and everyone is encouraged to attend this training session. Even if you are thinking of competing, come and see just how the speakers are judged – trust us, it will make you a better competitor!
We will be Zooming as well, so if you can’t make it in person, we will send you a link to join us via Zoom.
