Lance Miller is an award-winning public speaker and trainer. When he is on stage or behind a podium, he brings his distinctive talent and views on life that has shaped his philosophy and understanding of the world.
Lance graduated from Michigan State University with a Degree in Food Systems, Economics and Management. He began working as a teenager in his family’s milk and ice cream company, where he learned real life lessons. Working in the processing plant, running delivery routes, and managing retail stores instilled in him the values of hard work and importance of interpersonal communication when handling employees and customers.
His unique perspective is that of someone who has lived life. He has an extensive background in business. He has sat atop 14,000 ft. peaks. He has rafted some of the roughest whitewater in the U.S, sailed across the Atlantic from the Virgin Islands to Norway, and piloted his own aircraft for hundreds of hours. Lance has scuba dived under frozen lakes in the middle of winter and hitchhiked through Europe. He is a philanthropist who has worked in numerous humanitarian causes around the world.
Lance is a prominent member of Toastmasters International and a Distinguished Toastmaster. He played a key role in building his home Toastmasters Club, Renaissance Speakers, to the #4 Toastmasters Club in the world. In 2005, he won the title of World Champion of Public Speaking in a competition that included 28,000 contestants from 90 countries.

Monique has been a Toastmaster with Vital Words Toastmasters since January of 1994. This is where she met her husband, Don Pharoah, DTM. She is also a charter member of We Believe In Winnipeg Toastmasters which chartered in June of 2009 and is also serving as a mentor to PACE Champions in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Monique served District 64 as District Governor in 2008-2009 when they became distinguished for the first in 3 consecutive years.
March of 2013 marked the beginning of Monique’s journey as Region Advisor. Monique felt blessed to be able to serve in this role until June 30, 2015. While serving in this role, Monique was able to utilize her collaborative style to bring the teams together. She brought in value-added presenters to help the teams reach their goals and used her marketing expertise in assisting with club building.
In 2015, at the Toastmasters International Convention in Vegas, Monique was honoured with a Presidential Citation from International President, Mohammed Murad.
On August 20th, 2016 Monique was elected to the Toastmasters International Board and she is excited to serve members from around the world in this role.
While working at the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Monique secured & managed all cause-marketing partnerships for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation-Prairies/NWT Region. In that role, she facilitated the largest corporate donation with Federated Co-operatives.
Monique now works at Health Sciences Centre Foundation, which is the fundraising arm for the flagship hospital in Manitoba. As Manager of Sponsorships & Events, she enjoys giving companies the opportunity to bring hope to life for all Manitobans.
She also serves as a corporate trainer and facilitator since 2006 assisting corporations with their strategic plans, and facilitating sessions aimed to meet their needs.
