Club Fitness Award Winners
The Club Fitness Award was designed to highlight the importance of:
- Maintaining an accurate Club roster
- Developing a Club Success Plan
- Conducting a Moments of Truth workshop
Every organisation has administrative tasks to take care of, in order to be effective. A Toastmaster Club is expected to remit member payments to Toastmasters International, twice per year. A Club holds elections and submits an Officer List once per year. What happens if an Officer leaves the club? If the list is not updated, their replacement is missing out on tools and resources such as The Leader Letter that could be helpful in doing their role.
Every Club member deserves to have their name spelled correctly on the roster – sometimes typos and errors occur. Maybe a member moves and now has a different address. Checking the roster means these errors and changes get caught and corrected as soon as possible.
Club Success Plan
“If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.” Attributed to Lewis Carroll. A Club Success Plan identifies goals – where you want to go, and the steps – or the road-you will take to achieve those goals. A Club Success Plan needs to be completed each year, as goals change and processes evolve. Use last year’s plan as a springboard; update it to develop a strategy to achieve goals for this year.
Moments of Truth
Part of The Successful Club Series, Moments of Truth outlines how to create a positive first impression of your club. Use the free, downloadable resource from Toastmasters International as a starting point to develop your own presentation-something that holds to the intention, but is meaningful to your club.
In order to earn a Club Fitness award, all three components had to be completed by October 31, 2021.
Clubs achieving this award demonstrate the core values of Integrity and Excellence and will be rewarded with a portable Bluetooth speaker.
