 D42 Conference

The conference committee is looking for additional volunteers in various areas such as facilities, publicity, sponsorship, etc.  Also, the previous Conference Chair recently stepped down, and we are looking for a replacement.

A Toastmasters conference chair is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of a large-scale event like a district conference. This role involves overseeing the budget, managing a team of volunteers, coordinating with the venue, and ensuring all aspects of the conference, from logistics to program design, align with Toastmasters standards. The chair acts as the central point of contact between the District Leadership Team, venue staff, and other committee leads to create a successful event.

Skills gained

  • Advanced leadership: Develop strategic thinking, decision-making, and team management skills at a high level.
  • Project management: Gain experience in managing a large-scale project from conception to completion.
  • Problem-solving: Learn to anticipate challenges and find creative solutions in a high-pressure environment.

If you are interested in chairing or co-chairing the conference in the Spring please reach out to PQD@d42tm.org
