Glenmore RSVP Toastmasters Celebrate 30th Anniversary!

Oh, what a night!!

Have you ever met a friend from the past …. suddenly you are back to those days of laughter and good times!  Those connections were definitely made at Glenmore RSVP Toastmasters 30th Anniversary Celebration.

It was a heartwarming evening as past, present, and new members and TM friends from other clubs united to celebrate with Glenmore RSVP.  It was a special honor to have D42 Director, Daisy Wei and Area A27 Director, Ellen Lambert share greetings and presentations.

RSVP Club’s history and successes were celebrated.  Past members reflected on how Toastmasters changed their lives.  Club members’ recurring comments illustrated the impact made on their careers, lifelong friendships gained and the feeling of a family of friends they could count on.

Over the years, RSVP has been fortunate to have a strong core of members.  This includes 6 with 25-30 years and 9 members with nearly a decade of membership.  Different personalities, interests and talents combined to make the RSVP club successful and an example of a strong TM club.  Social activities reinforce club member friendships and connect them on a deeper level.

It was a wonderful evening with newer members seeing the magic of old friends reconnecting and thinking ‘I want to be part of that’ having a shared history, united by a goal to have a voice, the confidence to share ideas and learn from others.

Toastmasters has been a gift to Glenmore RSVP members.

As Maya Angelou said: ‘People may forget what you said, but they’ll never forget how you made them feel.”

Being part of Toastmasters can create these unforgettable moments.
