Thrilled to Kick Off the First D42 Synergy Hub Session

What happens when passionate people come together to learn, grow, and embrace technology? You get an engaging, insightful session just like our very first D42 Synergy Hub event.

As a member of the Synergy Hub team, I had the privilege of working behind the scenes to help bring this event to life. After weeks of planning and preparation, it was incredibly rewarding to see it all come together. But what made it truly special was being there in the moment, experiencing the session live, and seeing how much value it brought to everyone who joined.

I was thrilled to be part of the session, and it left me feeling inspired and energized. Our speaker, Distinguished Toastmaster Cajetan Barretto, delivered a thoughtful and practical presentation on Turning Attendees to Advocates. His approach was clear, insightful, and filled with strategies that clubs can start using right away.

Using Technology to Create Impact

Cajetan shared how technology can play a meaningful role in helping clubs grow and support their members. He walked us through the member journey, explaining how we can guide someone from their first interaction with Toastmasters to becoming an active and engaged member.

What I appreciated most was how easy he made it to see the possibilities. Instead of big, complicated changes, Cajetan focused on small, actionable steps that can make a real difference in how clubs connect with both current and prospective members.

AI for Smarter Marketing

One of the most exciting parts of the session was seeing how AI tools can make marketing easier and more effective. Cajetan demonstrated tools like Windows Copilot, Gemini, and Canva, showing how they can help clubs create professional, high-quality content in just minutes.

The best part is that you don’t need a large budget or a design background to make an impact. With the right tools and a clear message, clubs can create flyers, social media posts, and other materials that reflect their identity and reach the right audience.

Streamlining the Member Experience

Cajetan also introduced the new Toastmasters prospect management system, which helps clubs track and support potential members from their very first inquiry all the way to joining. This tool makes it easier to stay organized and responsive while keeping the personal touch that makes Toastmasters so special.

He also shared a customizable guest packet template that clubs can use to make a strong first impression and provide prospective members with clear, helpful information.

Looking Ahead

This session felt like a glimpse into the future of how our clubs can work smarter and connect more deeply with members and guests. It was exciting to see practical ways technology can support our mission without losing the heart and human connection at the center of Toastmasters.

The energy from this session continues to grow with more opportunities to learn and share on the horizon.
