District 42 2023/24 Club Growth Team Honored with Prestigious Award at Hall of Fame Event
At the Hall of Fame event during the International Convention, I had the immense honour of accepting the District Club Growth Award on behalf of the entire Club Growth Team for the 2023-2024 term. This recognition is a testament to the collaborative efforts and unwavering dedication of a remarkable group of Toastmasters who worked tirelessly to support and grow District 42.
This award is not just a reflection of individual efforts but a collective achievement made possible by several key teams and contributors:
Club Extension Committee
The foundation of our growth lies in the work of the Club Extension Committee. I extend my deepest gratitude to the committee chairs, Brad Korbo and Verge Monton, who led with vision and determination. The committee members—Mary Schoendorfer, Ksenija Crnogorac, and Jey Kumar—played vital roles in establishing new clubs and extending our district’s reach.
Club Coach/Retention Team
The success and sustainability of our clubs have been significantly bolstered by the Club Coach/Retention Team. Chaired by Marg Ustupski and Cathy Morrell, with the support of Jackie Harbidge, this team has been instrumental in guiding our clubs to thrive and grow stronger.
New Club Sponsors
Our district’s expansion this year was made possible by the dedicated efforts of our new club sponsors. These individuals went above and beyond to support the establishment and early success of new clubs. I want to personally thank Catherine Secundiak, Dan Lonechild, Debbie Stearns, Brian Fegan, Cathy Morrell, Kelly Sapergia, Daisy Wei, Joyce Allen, Verge Monton, Vesna Ivkovic, and Laura Chambers for their contributions.

Once new clubs are established, mentorship is crucial, and our new club mentors provided exceptional guidance and support. Club Coaches
Finally, I want to acknowledge all the club coaches who are working diligently to strengthen the clubs they are supporting. Their efforts are essential to ensuring the long-term success and vitality of our district’s clubs.
This award would not have been possible without the collective effort, passion, and dedication of all these outstanding Toastmasters. District 42’s success is a direct result of their hard work, and I am incredibly proud to be part of such an inspiring team.
