5 Months to Go!

It’s February, which means we are just five months away from the end of the Toastmasters year, and June 30 will be here before we know it! Our goal? To make District 42 a Distinguished District, every small step gets us closer.

Here’s where we stand:

• We currently have 94 clubs in good standing.
• 9 clubs need just members to reach the required 8 for full standing.
• We also need new clubs to be chartered by June 30 to hit our Distinguished District target.

If you know of a club lead, please share it with our Club Extension Team. Every lead matters!

A note about Distinguished Clubs: Clubs may have already reached distinguished status; however, they will not appear officially until after April renewals. Even if your club has achieved its goals now, they will only appear in the system once memberships are processed in April. Our goal is to have at least 50 of our clubs reach distinguished status!

Earlier this year, the District Trio attended training in Vancouver. We spent two long days in sessions, learning new skills and connecting with other leaders, including the Region Advisors and International Directors. It was energizing and full of ideas that we are excited to bring back to District 42.

Looking ahead, our District 42 Conference is set for April 24 & 25! If you’re interested in helping out, please reach out to our Conference Team.

Finally, the new district teams (208 & 210) are forming District Transition Teams to help shape what the two new districts will look like (for example, procedures, websites, contests, training, etc.). If you want to be part of this important work, let me know, and I’ll forward your contact to the team.

Let’s finish strong and make the final five months count, and together we can make District 42 Distinguished!
